Does avast globe stop spinning when a shield is turned off?

I use free version 7.0.1474 - can’t remember how to change signature in my profile :frowning:

When Mail Shield is disabled, I noticed that “a” - avast’s globe no longer spins. It’s like that for various applications including the browser. Is that how it should be? All shields work fine regardless - I looked at few places, and a last used app was noticed.
When Mail Shield is enabled, back to its normal state, the globe spins as it normally does.

It doesn’t spin when you have disabled one of more shields/functions as the icon changes from the animated one to a static avast icon with an ! and yellow triangle over the top of it and this doesn’t rotate.

I take it you have the ! and yellow triangle icon displayed ?

Click your username or the BIG Profile button in the menu to open your profile settings > Forum Profile > Signature.

Oh, yes, yellow triangle with “!” is over it. So no issue, just mildly surprised. I’d prefer if it turned though.

Sig - no idea how I missed that yesterday. I was in forum profile > signature!

Go to Avast Settings (link in the upper righthand corner of the AvastUI, then click on the Status Bar. Uncheck any shield or other item that you might have disabled. This should remove the yellow triangle. The Avast icon in the system tray should then spin.

Thanks, Gopher John, I know that. Review my first post , the reason for which was to find out if it’s normal that it won’t spin :slight_smile:
