Well batch file code can be seen by anyone…opening in notepad SIMPLE ;D
As far as source code is concerned. The author of the source code when compiles it, the compiler converts it into Machine level language and thus cannot be read by any one even avast! avast uses especial technique to deal with viruses. If reading of source code was possible then I must be using avast! Pro with lifetime validity ;D ;D ;D ;D
The above will not have any effect when running under limited user account (which you really should) and even as administrator you will get prompted by UAC unless you have not turned it off {which you really shouldn’t). Otherwise, doing the above is presumably what you want to do. Should Avast prevent you from formatting disks?
what Avast does or can do if needed is “emulate a malware code”, ie simulate it in a safe environment
If the box "use code emulation" is checked and avast! detects some suspicious code in a file, it will attempt to run the code in a virtual environment to determine how it behaves. If potential malicious behavior is detected, it will be reported as a virus. Running the code in this virtual environment means that if the code is malicious it will not be able to cause damage to your computer.
ps: what’s been formulated by tech as “final code” is just software code, what you got running on your system. Not the source code obviously, but that’s still code, what else ???
