If I install a program to test, and it needs internet access, Avast One Firewall will add it to its list of apps to allow.
But if I uninstall that program, will Avast One Firewall still have that program in its list of apps or will it remove automatically, say, on PC restart, that app from its Firewall list?
In Avast Free, I can manually remove such obsolete apps.
I don’t use the Avast Firewall or Avast One so I can’t speak from personal experience.
Surely this is something that you could test yourself, by installing a program to test, uninstall it, restart and check the firewall list.
Also if I remember rightly from comments in the forums, the Avast Firewall has a strict block all programs unless authorised and an auto function to allow programs internet access.
I had deliberately ran a setup file on my Desktop and allowed it internet access. It appeared in the Firewall list.
After I deleted the setup file, it disappeared from the Firewall list after a few days and several PC restarts. So I suppose it does remove uninstalled and obsolete files eventually.
However, it would be nice if an engineer that created the Avast One Firewall answer my question earlier.
