Does Avast really stop Malware?

I was having P.C lock ups this year and after doing allot of things to find the root cause I could find nothing to combat the issue. I have started getting the lock ups again and some research suggested malware could be the cause so I went ahead and downloaded a malware program and it has so far found issues that Avast has prevented.

I have been a paying subscriber to Avast very faithfully and now really upset because all I get is very bad deception from something that should be protecting me, especially as a premium user. Just feels so dirty especially when I recommend Avast to all my mates. :frowning:

You attach logs from the requested programs Malwarebytes / OTL / aswMBR

When done a malware expert will review the logs and help you remove any malware if he see any
When finish he will remove the tools used…

What program? What did it detect? Do you have a log to attach?
