Does avast! Sandbox work?

I’ve been researching about the avast Sandbox and there were some sources that suggest it doesn’t work. I don’t know if this issue’s been fixed yet though. I have avast Internet Security version 5.0.507. Can anyone confirm the current status of the Sandbox?
