Does Avast scan the Bios for viruses or rootkits?

If not is their a way to scan the bios for viruses or rootkits
if their is a rootkit in the bios how would you scan a bios for viruses.

Are you talking about the SMM rootkit?

If so, you can stay assured: you don’t have one! :wink: 8)

I think he is talking about motherboard’s BIOS (flashable BIOS chips).
