i just got norton today and i was downloading from kazaa and it told me while i was downloadign that the file had a virus does avast thing do that?
It includes an option to add p2p to it’s on on access protection and I believe Kazaa is one of the programs included.
However, I don’t have the p2p protection enabled but avast still informed me I had a virus when downloading from Shearaza.
So in short, yes, it should do.

There is just one thing that Norton does that avast can’t: mess your Windows Registry and crash your computer ;D

Just one bit of advice. Click on the link in my signature and get the Norton uninstall program. Just using add/remove doesn’t get rid of norton from the computer. Norton must be completely removed before you can install Avast!.
Odd, I have a Friend whos got Norton and it hasnt crashed his XP machine at all and his comp doesnt run slow at all ???
