Avast’s Web shield blocked two different postimg.cc links (but still let me view the images themselves which was odd) because it claimed the pages were infected with HTML:IFrame-inf [Susp]. Now Avast did claim to block it, and I did both a Avast smart scan and Windows Defender quick scan just as preliminary measures which found nothing. I’m about to do a full scan with Avast right just to be safe (and i’m about to go to sleep any way). But I’m curious what that [Susp] part means and if it’s Avast saying that if it’s Suspected or Suspicious maybe it means they’re just being cautious?
Suspicious
I think it is placed as suspicious but I think a copy of this file goes to the Avast servers to be analyzed after an analysis it may be on the blacklist or not, I think it is like this, as the vast majority of antiviruses do .
Well it doesn’t look like a file made it onto my computer, it was a website that was blocked.
Avast virus scans came back clean, by the way.
I have never had anything go into this folder, although plenty of emails I get could have been there. Is there a way to submit an email so Avast can get their shit together?
