While scanning tonight it detected again this: C:\pagefile.sys, BV-Silly-82 Worm, Well my actual Pagefile is on my second hard drive, and since Pagefile is a windows system file, i wouldn’t think it would really be infected, this is the second week i got this. if anyone could reply to this, and let me know for sure, would be greatly appreciated
Since? No, for sure not. System files could be easily infected, pagefile.sys is not an exception. But, in this particular case, this file is a virtual memory file. It could be an avast false positive, and it could be the case your computer was infected (the virus loaded in memory). I suggest you run a full (thorough) avast scanning and post the results.
The pagefile on C:\ was the same as real pagefile on second hard drive, size of 1,566,720–moved to my second drive to increase performance, and i had more space free on second hard drive, i ran a full scan last night with avast–using Thorough scan
