Does Windows 8 have a safe mode

HI I was wondering if I could ask a question I have an hp Laptop with Windows 8 64 bit operating system on it. I have Avast 8 free lasted version on it right now. What I would like to now is does Windows 8 have a safe mode. I was just wondering because I want to make sure that I completely uninstall avast 8 free from the laptop so that when I install avast 2014 free I do not end up with any blue screens or any problems or issues of any kind. The reason I am asking this question is because I am new to Windows 8 and I have not seen any safe mode as of yet. I was also wondering should I just uninstall avast 8 through programs and features menu would this get rid of everything that has to do with avast 8 free.
would the avast uninstall utility work on Windows 8 to uninstall avast 8 free off of windows 8.

Yes it does.
You can Google “How to get to Safe Mode in Windows 8” and you get all the info you need.
Also, when you run AvastClear tool it goes to Safe Mode automatically when it runs.

HI so Avast cleaner does work in Windows 8 right. I have never done this in windows 8 before.

AvastCLear removes Avast installs regardless of OS. :slight_smile:
