Done with full scan. Guess what virus Avast caught... AVAST

dunno if there’s something wrong with my download or what, or if i just misunderstood it… but how can avast detect itself as a virus?? but here’s my screenshot.

oops, okay, it isn’t a virus. but why did it register there? what’s the problem now??

Hallo,
you’re right - it’s definitely NOT virus, but a common system warning only (try to download this file http://public.avast.com/~cimbal/notvirus.bin to get a clue how does “virus found” report look like - no fear, it’s only testing EICAR specimen sample, not real virus ).

The window snapshot isn’t complete, but normally, in avast! app folder there are 2 root-owned items (avastKauth.kext and kextloader), both have insufficient privileges for normal user, and thus, they are reported with errno 13 - (permission denied) - and that’s the cause of these 2 warnings for avast!.
