Microsoft explorer xp is saying anti-virues is out of date, on start up avast is saying anti-virus is out of date, I’ve done manual update and avast is saying I’m up to date??? been having problems last few days viewing certain web pages, keep getting certificate errors, Every time I go to Microsoft to update, I get error message say something like thier system is down. Something fishy is going on, settings in explorer have changed or something has a hold on me, I don’t know which??/ Help plzz…I have avast…win-defend and lava soft 2007 ad protect, only avast and defend work real time so I;m lost.
Just bringing it back up to the top…any ideas?
Have you checked your systems time and date?
I just finished reading a post about that, check time and date, and sure nuff…something changed the year on my comp to 2009. I’m gonna reboot and see what happens. Thanks. 
That was it! Don’t 12 year olds have anything better to do these days than torment us 40 year olds? Took me 2 days to figure that crap out!..Thanks.
Sometimes, malware does that (change the system time/date).
Maybe you should run a full avast scanning
