Hello,

Since yesterday my internet has been acting really weird. Some sites/pages load and others don’t (using firefox, not tried with other browsers) but after a while they all start working again. Anyways, about an hour ago it started to annoy me so I decided to run a quick scan with Malwarebytes but didn’t find nothing however, after about 5 minutes I went to wrestlenewz.com like I do quite a few times a day for the latest news in the Wrestling world and as soon as it loaded my computer crashed with the classic bluescreen which you used to get quite often on XP. This is my very first bluescreen on vista (with this pc anyways). After the bluescreen crash my PC restarted but took about 15 minutes to load the desktop, was really slow and i’m now missing my volume :o

I don’t know if i’m infected or if my computer just sucks but it just all seems weird. I personally don’t think it’s a virus because I would of thought the quick scan would have picked it/something up, but something is going on which might be due to a virus. I’m currently in the process of doing the scans to provide the logs for OTL and aswMBR.

Any help in anyway would be highly appreciated

Hi,

Description doesn’t point on malware but we can check that. Attach here MBAM, OTL and aswMBR logs.

Heres the logs, aswMBR took waaaaaaaaaaay longer than I thought it would.

Thanks

Posted logs doesn’t shows active malware.

Re-run OTL and click on CleanUp! button.

You will be asked to reboot the machine to finish the cleanup process, choose Yes.
After the reboot all the tools we used should be gone.
Note: Some more recently created tools may not yet be removed by OTL. Feel free to manually delete any tools it leaves behind.

The problem (BSOD) may cause or faulty hardware or some kernel driver.

That’s good then. I’ve run OTL to run the cleanup process and it removed the tools and restarted the computer which seemed a little faster than it was yesterday and I have my volume back. Guess my computer was just having a bad night lol

Glad it’s not a virus, that’s the main thing. As for the weird thing involving the internet where some sites load and others don’t, I don’t know what could cause that, might be the latest version of Firefox (25) but not seen anyone else report anything similar.

Ah well. Thanks for your help, much appreciated!
