All I see is praise for PCTools Firewall. Why run away from something that workswent back to pctools firewall after online armor and comodo...works like a charm ;)
I have to admit i had alot of trouble with the early versions of PC Tools on Vista(BSOD’s mostly) but the last few builds are working perfectly over here. I will stick with PC Tools Firewall for sure. Well at least until avast! firewall comes out. I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one.

I’m still with Comodo but liked PC Tools Firewall Plus for its simplicity and easiness. Only can hope the FUTURE AVAST build will have the best of these two excellent Firewalls (as I understand, one is better than the other in leak Tests) :
But, will be there a paid version and another free?will be the free version a castrated firewall? :
I am COMODO user, one of the best FW’s, and it’s free.
What does make you think that?
Look, if it is ‘half-firewall’ I’ll rather stay with Vista integrated one.
If it became a shareware, well, I’ll give up on it and have to look for a further solution.
Just because Comodo never installed correctly in my system…
Tech, I wonder if Comodo problems arise from left-overs of other previous Firewalls, especially PC Tools Firewall. At times, it can be tricky playing with those uninstallation-installation processes implying network cards that can interfere. ???

Maybe you’re right… but it will be too laborious just installing Windows Vista from the scratch to test that…
Tech, finally i owned a Back up program, well my family gimme this program as a present, hehehe. Norton Ghost, well, it’s Symantecc, but i hadn’t problems with it. Well, i did an image, only system, drivers and Win updates, without FW, AS, AV…(It’s a fresh and clean install).
If u use a Bachup program, why don’t u make a fresh image??

To make a fresh image it should be fresh… right now, I just backup my already installed and configurated (with programs) Windows Vista… to have a fresh image, I’ll install Vista again. I use images when I have the benefits of not having to configurate the computer (I tweak it a lot ;D) and install tons of programs.
