What the reason?

Not sure what you are asking.
For me the link provided simply ‘times out’

If you could provide more information?

The IP address as far as I’m aware is a local one.

Hi stop1924,

As DavidR says, that IP address is in the private IP address space, and it must relate to a device on the local network.

To assist you with creating a working exception, it would help if you could explain further the situation, and what you are trying to achieve.

Specifically:

  • Are you currently being shown detection messages or other notifications by your Avast antivirus application? Can you take a screenshot of these messages (if you are seeing any) and attach it to a response on this thread?
  • Could you also explain what you are trying to exclude - are you trying to exclude a device from the Avast application installed on a different device? If so, what kind of device is it?
  • Can you also confirm which version of Avast you are using (both the license type e.g. Free, Pro, Internet Security etc. and the version number found in “Menu” > “About” e.g. 19.5.2378)?

Thank you in advance.
