Double virus updated notice

I am now getting double notices on each definition update. As far as I can see, I only have Avast! installed once. Any thoughts? Thanks for the help.

You are missing a crucial piece of information the avast version you have currently ?

If 7.0.1451 then use the avastUI, Maintenance, Update - Program Update to get the latest version 7.0.1456.

I am currently running version 7.0.1456 and have been getting two update notices for about 5 days.

For the record, I’m experiencing it on XP, Vista and Windows 7 and it’s not the least bit of a problem. :slight_smile:

I think this one, at least by the OP was one of if not the first, dating back to the 6 July 2012, the one you referenced was from a week later.

Since the one you refer to has eight pages, this one only one, I guess that’s the one used most often.

That’s the problem, most people don’t browse or search before posting, so it is hard to keep track of what was first.

It is damn hard to be first to post about an issue on the avast forums ;D
