As the name suggests, setup_av_free_eng.exe is the installer for English version only. On the other hand, setup_av_free.exe contains all the supported language modules.

Thanks so very much igor. I was hoping an explanation would be made by one of the avast! professionals with regard to the difference in download sizes. Makes sense with the language modules being included.

So let me get this straight.
The ask.com Toolbar and Home Page and the eBay install prompt I get when I install Foxit Reader … and something similar with the IrfanView install … is put in there by FileHippo and NOT by Foxit Reader and IrfanView? (I download them from FileHippo.)

I can’t remember if I get any similar prompts when I install MBAM and SAS.
But, I probably do. I download those from FileHippo also.

I think even Auslogics Defrag has its own Toolbar install prompt. Sheesh!

Those are put by Foxit Reader and others. What is put by FileHippo are the big Google Ads with a fake “Download” button that mislead a lot of users :wink:
