I’m new to virusscanner Avast. I had installed AVG; I have a question about my downloadmanager “Leechget”. When downloading a file, I just want to know after downloading this file with my dl manager what I must tell the dl manager that the file is immediately scanned by Avast. In AVG I knew how, but now I don’t. Is there any file in the Avast prog to do this. Could anybody help me?
if you’re in Avast 4, you’re in luck because the file you need is there: it’s called ashquick.exe (somewhere in the avast program files directory) . Point your download manager to it and your downloads will all be scanned when done

It is located here:
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe
(assuming avast! is installed to the default location)
I would also recommend running the AVG remover if you haven’t already. There may be left over remnants that may interfere with avast! in the future…

I would still recommend running it if you haven’t. It may not be instantly, but the remnants can still have an effect later on…I know, it happened to me…
