I keep getting pop-ups (where I usually get updates from Avast, bottom right of screen) asking if I want to download Google Chrome or update another program. The website it takes me to is “file.org.” Is that site legit? Or should all my update/download messages come from Avast?

Ran the IP at scumware.org and found a lengthy history of malware.
