Downloaded and installed current avast! for Mac

I downloaded the current Avast! and installed it on my client’s MacBook. He said that it was popping up and then stopped. Now he can not get his mail. Sense I am more of a Windows person, I am trying to help him.

I would like to uninstall Avast and would like some suggestions.

Need to know more such as the version of Mac OS X running on the MacBook.

You can disable the Mail scanner to see if it is interfering with his email.

  1. Open avast.
  2. Choose avast from the Menu Bar and Click Preferences.
  3. Remove the check next to Mail Support.

Would be still nice to get instructions for uninstalling avast for mac…
