Why the F is it advertised 30 day free trial if it’s not actually given. The first download I got I thought it might have been a mistake, so I downloaded from a different source, then a different source and same shit again.

Ever download a prior version of avast! as a trial version in the past and allow the trial license to expire? Use of cracked copies can do that too.
You can get the official versions of avast! from here: http://www.avast.com/download-software
Use aswclear.exe to remove any prior versions of avast! left-over from prior use: http://www.avast.com/en-us/uninstall-utility Reboot after use of aswclear.exe.

Also, check the system date, day/month/year and adjust as required.
If the above system date id correct, aside from the other questions, if you can take a screenshot of the avastUI, Settings > Registration section.

i am having the exact same problem and my computer is brand new and i have never used avast on here.

From what source did you download your version of Avast, as, as indicated above, if you do not have a legitimate version of Avast you will get problems …
