Downloading software not going well

I hav eposted this in General and noone seems to answer, so I will ask you guys. I have a DSL cable modem that usually downloads at lighting fast speed. I have been trying to download this free home software for nearly three hours now and only have 28% of it downloaded. It has already expired on me once. Can anyone help me?
No I am not downloading anything else at the time. I have never had problems with bandwidth before. I have two hard drives, space isn’t a problem.

Welcome to the forums Danielle,
noted your other post (and there are replies to it)
I have tried a download from avast and had no problem with speed or time outs.

Can I suggest this first, go to control panel/internet options/ delete cookies and internet files.

next from start/run/cmd
type ipconfig /flush dns …press return

Reboot your pc and try the download again.

If you are still having problems post back and we will all try to help.

from cmd it would be ipconfig /flushdns (without the space) I was assuming your knowledge of command prompts.

Are you using the link from here:

I just tried it-was plenty fast (700+ kbs)
Less than a minute.

I have recently purchased avast_premier_antivirus_setup_online for 3 yrs… I deleted my cookies (as suggested) and I still can’t download the program

You posted in a way outdated topic.
