Dreaded dllhost.exe overload problem ? ! ! ! *$*%

Hi all, DrPepper55 here, Happy Holidays to all. I have an Acer Aspire laptop running Vista that is about 6 years old and recently - about 6 months ago - I started experiencing the dreaded dllhost.exe overload issue in my task manager and it raises my cpu cycles and causes my machine to lock up if I do not keep manually cleaning them of with an “end process” very frequently, often, and practically constantly once it starts to show up. I’m not exactly sure what is causing this issue to happen as I did not add programs or other peripherals on or about the time this issue began.

I then tried to search for this issue on google and I discovered that I was not alone with this issue and I agreed to try a supposed ‘guaranteed’ fix that came luckily with a $39.95 price for a 60 day trial. As I said it turned out to be a ‘supposed’ fix in that all it really provided was a removal of the accumulated dllhost.exe processes as a sweep which I was already doing myself manually but was not a real fix as they had ‘supposedly guaranteed’ to provide and I had to invoke my credit card company to remove and cancel payment after 20 days when I hassled with the makers of the ‘fix program’ that what they offered and advertised as a fix was not a fix.

Then they tried to get me to buy and pay $399.99 for a 1yr maintenance contract with them. I ended that association right there with these snake oil salesman I’m happy to report. All I can say is that if any of you have or have had this issue, beware of Max Utilities and others like them that offer and guarantee a fix. Also If any of you have or have had this issue and you were able to solve it or did and have found a solution to it, please share your experience and your solution. Thank you all very much for and help and advice you can offer.
