I’ve used Avast for years on a Windows PC and never had this issue. Goes without saying if it continues then I will just simply stop my subscription and figure out another less intrusive anti virus.
So over the past few weeks I’ve been having issues when playing games with my keyboard or mouse just disconnecting from windows and then reconnecting in 2-3 seconds. This goes without saying that it makes playing games frustrating to the point that I haven’t really been playing them. Well, today was a day off and I decided I wanted to play some Overwatch for an hour or two. My keyboard or mouse would disconnect every 5-10 mins while playing games at random. I decided to dig through the event viewer to see if I could match up times with my disconnections. Well I found the issue and going through Avast settings I can’t seem to seem to figure out how to stop it.

This event occurs EVERYTIME I have this issue. Clearly Avast it doing something that is causing the usb device I’m using to stop working for a second or two.
Now, I like to keep Avast running since I’m usually doing other things like listening to music or browsing the internet while waiting for matches but I guess I could turn it off. But my question is why is Avast doing anything to my power service at all. This issue is fairly new and maybe it was due to an update to Avast. I have no clue so I’m going to keep an on this thread to see if there is a solution while looking into other anti-virus solutions that won’t impede me.
