Recently updated to Avastfree vs 2014.9.0.2011.
One of the drivers ‘aswFsBlk.sys’ does not start.
The registry indicates that the image path for this driver
is “??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\aswFsBlk.sys” but I find this file
only in “C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\Setup\INF\aswFsBlk.sys” the
file version is “9.0.2007.172”.
It is ‘access denied’ and cannot be started manually or copied to system32.
Does this indicate that there is a problem with this driver?
No, do not manually copy the driver, it is the other way around - there should be no service record and you can safely delete the aswFsBlk registry key (on 9.0.2011).
Thanks Drake127 for the reply.

Drake127, this repair accomplished exactly what you suggested but saved me from manually editing the registry entries.
