I’ve never had good experiences with driver update programs, sometimes they install older drivers or even on rare occurrences I’ve had them install a different branded driver altogether and really screw things up :o
I always get my drivers from the hardware vendor eg, Fresco Logic for my USB3 drivers or Realtek for SD Card - Audio and Ethernet or NVidia for Graphics or Intel for my AC wireless or Samsung for my SSD’s.
Forum member, RejZoR, recently blogged about one called SnailDriver. I’ve tried it on Win 7 with positive results.
Always get the drivers directly from the manufacturer.
I’ve used this for a long time without problems and it’s always done a good job at updating drivers:

I always get my driver updates from my computer’s official manufacturer website.
Computer manufacturers only provide updates for about a year, after that they don’t care, by using hardware manufacturers you’ll get better support.
My glasses broke so typing is not fun but here goes…I got tired of searching for drivers and wanted an easy way to update drivers.
That’s why I told you about Driver Talent.
You’re welcome.
Just one instance like this makes all of the backup images worth while; saving all of that time, stress, aggravation and hassle you would have had.
