Drop down arrows don't work

i recently bought avast! premier for my laptop and my desktop pc, the version on my laptop is working 100% nut the version on my desktop pc doesn’t work properly. it will let me do a quick scan only but i cannot change to any other scan.
i also cannot access the tools or help arrows on the status page so therefore i cannot access the remote assistance function. >:(

if anybody has any suggestions that would be great, i’d rather not have to uninstall as i’ve done this before with other companies and had to buy another whole package.

Was this a new install or did you install it over the top of another Avast product (i.e. free)

it was an upgrade to a trial period of avast to avast premier. with my desktop thats the only avast download that would go through.
does this mean i will have to uninstall and if so would i have to pay again for subscription?

Nope as long as you have the licence I will give you the direct link… With a major upgrade like that I would always recommend a clean install

Download Avast Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel

[]Run the uninstall tool and accept the reboot to safe mode
[
]Once complete reboot your system
[*]Reinstall Avast


I have uninstalled avast premier and then reinstalled but i still cannot use the drop down arrow in the scan section to choose a thorough scan and i still cannot access the tools or help side bar in avast premier. what would you suggest now?

Did you have any other anti-virus prior to this … Also are there any error messages displayed
