What is dr.web curelt 5.0 Does it conflict with avast?
It is a removal tool, the latest updated version is found on Dr.Web page for download when you need it. It is updated almost every day
Same thing with Norman malware cleaner
Hi hello123,
DrWeb CureIt is a stand-alone non-resident version of DrWeb’s scanner. You can download it as launch, exe and should always deploy the latest version. It is more complete as a removal tool like McAfee’s stinger that has a cure for the latest major threats and more recent malware signatures.
Sometimes we advise people to use DrWebCureIt next to a residental scanner like avast.
So the main rule in av land is never install two resident av scanners, they conflict and make that both scanner do not work properley or start to flag each other detections.
But there are a lot of non resident programs you can gladly combine with the scanning of a resident scanner on your OS and for that we here use avast. So avast can be combined with ClamWin, Stinger, etc. and non-resident anti-malware (anti-spyware, anti-trojan) like SUPERAnti Spyware, MBAM, ImmunetProtect, ThreatFire, SpywareBlaster, just to call a few. Just run them when needed,
