I ran spybot and it said that I have a DSO exploit. After reading Eddy’s definitions I am a little concerned. I switched from IE and Outlook express to Thunderbird and Firefox. Any suggestions on how I can fix the DSO exploit???

There isn’t much you can do yourself about a DSO exploit. Just make sure your system is up-to-date with all security patches/fixes. Not only for Windows, but also for things like MS-Office (if you have that installed).

Don’t fix it, it is a problem with S&D, there is a fix for the latest 1.3 version of S&D, check their website for a download. It is also at majorgeeks.com, Connie has very recently posted a link for it at http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4392.html.

Thanks Eddy. I constantly update my system. Do you think that by switching to Mozilla, I made a good choice?

Which version of S&D are you using?

I don’t know the version right off hand, but I constantly search for updates.

Reggie… open Spybot… the version should show at the top, if not… click HELP, then ABOUT… you’ll see the version there.

If it is 1.3 go here… download the file, run it, and it will fix the DSO Exploit problem for you
