Dual Boot Won't Auto Update

Hi, I have a dual operating system = Windows 2000 Pro and XP
Each OS runs on a separate hard drive.
Each OS has Avast 4.8
The Pro OS automatically updates - no problem. ;D

XP refuses to auto update. ???
Even though my settings are on Auto update, I have to manually update.

Win 2K Pro is the original OS on this machine.

The XP OS was installed on a separate HD on December 14, 2009.
XP has all the updates except for SP3.*

Avast 4.8 was installed on the XP OS that same day
I went to the website and installed the latest download.

I have never had a problem with XP auto updating in the past.

Thanks to anyone who has any idea why this is occurring.

*an fyi - getting SP3 on CD, because SP3 hung up on the download prob due to my RAM capability.

Looks like I found my own problem… :frowning:

In the program settings, under Update (connections), neither option was checked yet.

Last night, I checked my computer is always connected
vs. Dial up.

Today, Avast updated automatically. ;D
