Dual Booting using Avast

Hello,

Currently, I have Avast Home Edition Version 4.8 running on the primary partition under Windows XP. I intend to set up a dual boot configuration by restoring an archived (ghost) image of Windows ME onto another partition on the same drive. My question is this:
Do I need to re-download/re-install Avast onto the partition holding Windows ME or, is a single version sufficient to protect the entire hard drive?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should install avast! into each operating system - it’s not really possible to share the installation between them (they have different drivers, etc.)
