Only days after being notified by Avast that the false detection of DUC40.exe had been corrected, (and it certainly appeared to have been fixed) its back again more annoying than ever. It gets detected two or three times every few minutes, sometimes three times, one immediately after the other.
Adding it to the exclusions list makes no difference, Avast just seems to ignore that and continues to report it (did it again just now as I type).
Since Avast haven’t fixed it, and the exclusions list is ineffective, short of removing Avast does anyone have a fix for this? (2 more, one after the other)
You can report a possible FP here: http://www.avast.com/contact-us.php?subject=VIRUS-FILE
You have to enter the URL (with port) in the ignore list - that worked for me.
But Avast should fix this! Exclusion lists in an antivirus software are a nightmare.
