So you are suggesting to simply turn off https scanning? The FAQ states that this makes the system more vulnerable. I have some questions before I do that.
- Although the FAQ states that “HTTPS scanning is not supported in Windows XP…”, what would cause the problem to appear this late.
- If https scanning is not actually functioning although it is checked as enabled, I don’t have a problem disabling. What has caused the problem to arise now even though https scanning has been enabled since I began using Avast on this WinXP machine a number of years ago… and will I be actually making myself more vulnerable by disabling it?
