"Dump to chest"

Hi there,

This is the first time I have used this profile. I have Avast “Network Shield” Version 4.8-1368 on my Dell PC. It is the “free” version. Recently I received an Alert about a possible virus. The message gave me a few options but advised me to “Dump to Chest”. I did so, and now my Optus Wireless Broadband shortcut icon, and apparently the page I used to access to log on to Optus, check my balance etc, has now disappeared! I have gone into “Programs” and clicked to restore the program, but it seems not to be the same program. I can’t seem to access this programme at all, which will cause me problems in the long run as this program tells me how fast my broadband, is, allows me to check my balance etc. and allows me to log onto Optus Wireless Broadband.

Any ideas on how I can “restore” this icon and subsequent programme to my desktop again?

Is your avast 4.8 up-to-date ?

You can restore the files by right clicking each one in the Chest and then clicking on Restore.
A copy of the restored file will remain in the Chest.
