I have a variety of dynamic groups defined. When a computer gets marked as being infected it shows up red in the computer catalog and the dynamic groups. That is as it should be. However when I mark the computer as clean it shows up clean in the computer catalog but not the dynamic groups. No matter in which area I mark it clean or how many times I mark it clean or how many refreshes I do the computer will retain it’s infected status in the dynamic group.
I can’t reproduce this. This is how it works on our test machine:
- look into a dynamic group, computer A is “red”.
- go to the static group that holds computer A, and choose “Mark as Clean”. Hit F5, and the computer is green
- go back to the dynamic group, hit F5, and A gets green here too.
What I’ve noticed, though, is that the Mark as Clean command doesn’t work on objects in dynamic groups.
Isn’t this what you meant?
Thanks
Vlk
After letting the holiday spirits wear off yes that is indeed how it works. So it’s a problem with marking objects in the dynamic group clean.
