Yep, a reboot often helps to solve mysterious problems. 
Has anyone with this problem updated to Firefox v.23 to see if it’s been addressed?

And now Chrome doesn’t work anymore since last update (seems to be already fixed in a future release).

I’m posting this in case someone finds it useful. I had the same problem in Firefox, Chrome and Opera. I installed FF ESR as suggested, it still didn’t work. So I un-installed EasyPass (but kept the data!), downloaded the free trial from the avast! download page and installed it using my account. This got EasyPass working on all browsers, (I normally only use Firefox though).
