thats all legal staff - I’ve used Eicar for so many times and never ever had any harm or problem on one of my computers - if You have problems to delete them, then turn off Standard Shield and You are able to access these files.
Problem with deleting is cause Your AV should reject that You access them.
Anyway - if You try to download them ans save them Avast will reject (of course depending on Your settings) to store them.

Eh blabla (that warning is just for those who want to sue everyone everywhere) every AV i encountered was able to remove it without any tiny complications. It also cannot harm you PC in any way.

Usually .COM version is the best one. .TXT is usually displayed directly in browser,and many AVs don’t scan archives On-Access.
I nearly always test with .COM only.
Oh.I’ve downloaded it with mozzila firefox but no warning message was shown.when i scanned the file there camed up a warning for a virus in the computer and succesfully deleted it but…I haven’t changed any settings after install.why my avast didn’t stop the download procces :‘( :’( :‘( :’(

the sensetivity is set to normal and my browser is not giving me to “open with…”
right click on Avast blue ball, select “On Access protection Control”, Select then “Standard Shield” . I have then High - to see the detailled settings click on customize - then You have a lot of tabs - take a look at them.
My settings are : Protection High
in Scanner (Basic) : all checked
in Scanner (Advanced) :
Scan files on Open - checked
Always scan WSH-Scrip files - checked
Scan Created/modified Files - checked
All Files - checked

well i don’t have scan created/modified files and all files too and sens. is normal.is this the problem and if yes am i protected???
If you use avast! 4.5 then it should detect it regardless the sensitivity level.
In avast! 4.1 its detected only on High Sensitivity (Standard Shield)
OK but i’m using 4.5.523 447-1.So is there a problem in my avast
