K Jenny just thought it might be a network policy set by your college.

We’ll need some more details about your connection first, specifically your isp’s policy and settings with regards to smtp and pop settings. DON’T post the details of your acct, just your settings.

I.E. smtp.adelphia.com
pop.adelphia.com or mail.adelphia.com

There are lots of threads here about email configurations and I’m sure lots of users who will help you.
