Things like: What Email Client are you using? What OS? Are you using a spamkiller??
Anything you can add to help with troubleshooting this would be great
also check if the provider is installed.
start > control panel > add/remove programs > avast > change/repair
W2000 PRO,outlook express…only mailwasher…
It should be enabled by default shouldn’t it?
I suggest you upgrade to Avast 4.5 and see if the problem is solved.

If you install that provider, yes, it should be enabled by default…
