Enable HTTPS scanning in conflict with IE and Chrome

Hi, when I enable http scanning, browser like Chrome or IE are saying the certificate is invalid. Chrome says “Your connection is not private”. This happen when I visit website like google.com or facebook.com. both use https://. I can’t access both.

When I disable the https scanning, everything is back to normal… I can accesss to google and facebook.

So is it recommended to keep it disable?

What is your OS?

my OS is Windows 8.1, 64 bits
(Manufacturer is Toshiba)

Thanks about your OS, I asked because https scanning does not work with XP or Vista.
Have you tried a repair?
Control Panel>Uninstall a Program>double click “avast”>click “repair”>reboot (sometimes more than one reboot may be needed).

If that fails you may need to disable https scanning. You are not the first user with this issue.

I don’t have the Chrome browser, nor do I use Google but I have no problem accessing Facebook with the https scanning enabled on IE.
