Endpoint protection suite losing exclusions set in SoA

I had a problem that just popped up today. It seems that all of my clients have lost the global exclusion list. When I look at the network settings in SoA, my couple of exclusions are there, but on the clients the list is blank. Avast then finds our proprietary software and quarantines it. Anyone else seen a similar issue?

The Group Settings > Exclusions page is for on-demand scan exclusions.

Unfortunately there is no GUI for the Global Exclusions in the management console yet.

However you could find them in:

Group settings > Expert settings. The names of the properties are called:

  • avastcfg://exclusions/Global/ExcludeFiles
  • avastcfg://exclusions/Global/ExcludeUrls

The semi-colon symbol is the separator.

I had it just in the group settings and that has seemed to work for the past year. I added the main one to the expert config and reported my software as a false positive and in the hopes I dont have to reinstall too many more times today. Thanks for the help
