Can anyone tell me, why “Avast Free Antivirus” is writing the following line(s) EVERY second into the AvastSvc.log? [2018-11-02 16:02:44.707] [info ] [http_daemon] [ 1104: 3132] HttpServer connection accepted. [2018-11-02 16:02:45.707] [info ] [http_daemon] [ 1104: 3132] HttpServer connection accepted. Every second, every minute, every hour… thousands and thousands of lines…
How can I fix it? I have constant disk activity and I try to reduce it.
I think it makes more sense to write to the log only if the connection is NOT accepted.
And anyway, why does Avast check the http connection EVERY second?
Stream-Updates are deactivated. Avast also writes these entries when all automatic updates are deactivated. Avast writes it even when all modules are suspended for a while. I got the same log entries even when I’m offline. I think, it’s a normal behavior of Avast and not a problem of mine. Nevertheless, I think that this is an unnecessary burden on the operating system and the disk and that it decreases the performance at all.
Hi Qyle, that’s most certainly a bug…!!
Can’t see any reason to check/log this each and every second.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get any helpful reply from the devs yet.
I’ve been told that the problem has already been addressed in an internal build but,
it will be about 1 month before we can expect to see this fix applied in our version.
Some further info: I have the same entries, with the log file beginning at the time the computer woke up from hibernation. In other words, the log file seems to be started from scratch each day.
