Enyone else seeing a (false positive?) virus warning for EditPad.exe?

I’ve been using EditPad (a Windows notepad replacement) for years but it just got identified as a virus and deleted today. This happened on both my desktop and laptop computers. I attempted to reinstall it from a CD-ROM backup made in 2006 and that file got pegged as a virus by Avast. I’ve considered the possibility that something is infecting the EXE file as it’s being unzipped, but my two computers use different unzipping utilities, so it seems a little far fetched.

Avast says it’s Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]

avast doesn’t detected as being malware.
It detects it as Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]
Susp = Suspicious.

Whether Malware or “suspicious”, Avast still deleted it from my computer and won’t let me re-install it.

Report it and wait till avast has fixed it, which could even be in the next streaming update or (for now) set a exclusion for it.
