Error 0x000000C1 - Installation package

Hi again,
i have reloaded the server and installed ADNM with no problems at all, but when i want to create a push installation package I click create package then edit and it comes up with a popup window saying error 0x000000C1 - installation package cannot be edited, cannot query the server object, am i doing something wrong?

thanks

Are you running the console on the AMS or on a different machine?
Which account do you run it under? (does it have administrator rights?)

Thanks
Vlk

it’s on the AMS machine and i’m using the Domain admin account
(win2k server sp3)

Maybe you were too fast and the mirror didn’t get populated yet. Can you try once more?

BTW you did let ADNM setup to create the mirror, didn’t you?

i feel like an idiot, i did create the mirror yes but i think i was a bit ahead of myself and the server just waited a while rebooted and it’s working! sorry and thanks!

It rebooted? :o You mean the Hard error + countdown you mentioned yesterday?

I could be a fool but I get the same error message after all. I reinstalled the system and have been waiting I guess log time enough. In Avast, I’m logged in with admin privileges (I even changed the ADNM username and password to match windows ones). In Windows (2000 Server SP4) I log in as domain administrator… After clicking on Edit button I get C1 error message… And , of course, the mirror was created at installation od ADNM. Pleeeease help ::slight_smile:

Sorry not reinstalled but rebooted… and the machine I’m running console on is the same where AMS is running…

Please check the \InstPkgs and \InstTmpl directories. Is there anything in there?

Thanks
Vlk

Thank for your reply. I installed the ADNM on another server and brings the same message - am I doing anything wrong ? Is it because we are switching from Sophos antivirus (and Sophos EM Library) ?

Back to your question: folder InstPkgs sits at 'C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Management tools' and contains 161 files including setup.exe ; InstTmpl doesn’t exist anywhere at all.

When running ADNM console, the credentials which I entered don’t have to be the same as windows logon credentials, right ? I get into ADNM using default Administrator + admin credentials and creating packages is pretty much the first thing I’m doing in it.

Thanks for your help !

Sorry for this up… but i have the same problem with the same error.

I reboot the server (2003 Sp1) but nothing… :-\

I have reinstalled ADMN but nothing…

What is the problem ?

(Xcuse for my bad English but I’m French and i don’t speak very well)

In \Instmpl i have 2 files of 0 Ko. it’s normal ?

thanks a lot for your help.

In fact, i was resolved my problem.
I reinstalled all ADMN with mirror and its works.
