Error 126 and Error 1726

I have 2 workstations that are generating errors when trying to do remote installs

Station 1 = Windows 7 64 bit / Error 126 = Specified Module Not Found

Station 2 = Windows 7 32 bit / Error 1726 = The Remote Procedure Call Failed

Any suggestions for fixes would be greatly appreciated it.

are these stations updated with the last service pack (SP1 for Win7) and next updates?

Yes, both are updated to SP1. These are the error codes coming off of the report from Avast. I will take a look to see if I can determine why based on the KB articles. Hopefully, if someone else has suggestions, they will submit it.

  • Navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE and delete the AVAST Software registry key.[/ol]

Disable the firewall and try again.
