Hi, when I run the boot time scan I keep getting messages “Error 42006” on quite a few files, does anyone know what this means please?

David, I was thinking on explanations, what is the really meaning of the error messages and not only the error number messages. Some of them means nothing. We post here and the user will ask: And so? What does this mean?

Anyway, the “File is offline” error is sort of strange. It’s normally a flag returned by the operating system - but it’s not a common thing, I’ve never seen a real offline file personally…
this error is also caused by FILE_ATTRIBUTE_DEVICE value, for sth like disk images? maybe filenames would help us… otherwise, i read somewhere _OFFLINE errors should be “ignored” (not for e.g. advanced users)…
