error 42010: file is not packed

i’m running a boot-time scan on a windows vista machine. for lots of file mostly in the system restore directory, i get “error 42010: file is not packed” messages. these files are infected with various viruses, including Win32:Trojan-gen{other}, Win32:Adware-gen and PS/MPC-gen5.

suggestions?

Please attach the file \Data\Report\aswBoot.txt here.

oops, posted the wrong file.

any ideas?

Ah, I see. You don’t have to worry about those errors.
The thing is that the whole archive is deleted when the first detected file (inside of the archive) is processed - that’s the 2 lines with “Deleted”.
The program then tries to process the other files detected previously - but the archive isn’t there anymore… that’s where the error “File is not packed” comes from. Just ignore the errors.
