Error 42111 - boot scan clarification

Hello. This is my first time on this forum and I apologize if I have posted this in an area where it isn’t supposed to be posted in. I ran the boot scan a couple of times on my computer as well as a full system scan in the past couple of days. The full system scan came up with no viruses but the boot scan came up with two infected files. When I tried to remove the files either by deleting them or moving to the chest during the boot scan, it came up with the error 42111 and I could only ignore the files. When the boot scan finished, I looked at the scan log and tried to move them into the chest then. It said the file could not be detected. The file pathname and the error in the scan log are in the attached file.

Thank You For Your Assistance in this matter.

Vicky

if you reboot and scan again…are they still there?

if so…
put the mouse pointer on the vertical bar just in front of severity and dragg side ways so you can see the full file path…take new screenshot and post

I’ve ran the boot scan once on the 8th and twice on the 10th and both times it still comes up with those two infected files on the scan. I’ve cleared temporary files and even fixed registry an disk cleaner errors, hoping it could have been a registry error or something but apparently, the infection is still there. I’m sort of hoping it could be a FP but if it isn’t, is there a way to remove it? I’ve attached the screen shot of the file path in it’s entirety.

it seems to be located in a program called “asulogic rescue” …something you know?
is it a backup program?

Sadly no. I don’t know what that is or where it is. I don’t recall coming across it at all until the scan. It’s also in AppData and Roaming too from what I saw of the path file.

It appears to be a tool that was initially installed on your computer

This program has a recover center that can be used to restore all changes made by the program. For example, if you delete a file that turns out to be a necessary file, you can recover it from here. You can also do restores from certain checkpoints the program creates. Each time an application is installed or uninstalled, the Rescue Center sets a restore point. This can be extremely useful for all users.

To remove it then just uninstall Auslogics from programs and features

It doesn’t seem to be in the programs and features list though. Where else could I remove it from?

In that case just delete the folder

If i think I found the file, could I delete the files or would deleting the folder be more ideal? Because the folder contains registry defrag and user reports as well.

and thank you for helping.

The whole folder … As it is related to the auslogics programme

all right then. thank you.
