I don’t know if anyone has this same problem, but whenever I do a boot-time scan, it comes up with plenty of instances where there’s a file with the following message followed: Error 42125 {ZIP archive is corrupted.} But whenever I try to scan the folder with the antivirus, it says that no infected files have been found. Is there any way to fix this?
probably just mean it cant unpack and scan it in boot scan
why do you run a boot scan?
I guess you could say I’m a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to PCs running properly. :-[
In seriousness, if boot scan says there are corrupted files but not when I do regular scans, I shouldn’t be too worried about this, right?

Boot scan (or safe mode scan) does not give any better detection in fact it can be worse, malware that is detected by behaviour may not run.
Boot scan is not designed to be used as a regular scanner but a specialised tool to be used if you have problems removing a infection. Most security programs today will give a message after scan that say something like “This and that will be removed when you reboot”
All AV programs (exept one) have realtime protection, meaning EVRYTHING that goes on in your computer when on is monitored/scanned in realtime
