error applying fire wall rulres (exit code 255)

I get this error message when trying to set up my firewall. “Exit applying firewall rules (exit code 255)” i am not sure what that is. Is there anyone that can help I’m new to all this my rom is cm7. Thanks

Hello of course i’ll do:

Android 2.3.7
2.6.35.13-Mobile-Kon kernel
rooted htc hd mini

Unfortunatelly I can’t give you more information about the error. It’s just saying the “exit code 255” thing whenever i try to enable the firewall.

can you provide a device log for us:

a) Create an empty file called “avast-debug” on your /sdcard root directory
b) REBOOT your phone
c) Now Avast generates a lot of log
d) Try to reconstruct your problem
e) After 10 minues, open Anti-Theft (NOT Mobile Security) and go to the feedback screen (About)
f) Check “Send system log”
g) Create a case there giving your email address and mention this conversation as well as a short description of the problem (maybe someone else will get the case)
h) Then remove the avast-debug file from the /sdcard root directory again
i) REBOOT your phone
j) Everything back to normal

hm it seems you sent the report using avast! Anti-Theft. Please send it from avast! Mobile Security (in Android 4.0 Google disallowed access to logs of different apps, so you need to use the correct app to get the correct log). sorry for that!

hm still do not see any entries from avast in the log. are you sure the avast-debug file is present and your device is rebooted?

yes i’m sure i did everything as you mentioned it. File “avast-debug” is in /sdcard
I rebooted after creating the file. The System log increases slowly to about 30KB. avast-debug file is always empty.
